Vaiaso O Le Gagana Samoa

This year for Samoan Language Week, LS1 were set the challenge of researching different aspects of Samoan culture, and presenting what they learnt in Google Slides.  This is a combination of our individual presentations.  We especially enjoyed getting to choose which aspect to research.

Monsters!

Today in Cybersmart we learned to use the Polyline and Curve line tool to draw our own shapes.

We focused on making sure we connected our last point to our first point so that a shape was created. You know for sure that you’ve done it correctly if the shape turns blue!

Another trick we learned was to double click on the created shape, and adjust the points using the purple dots. This is great for fixing up small errors.

For today’s session we all made our own monsters, it was really fun!

 

Google Draw Space Scene

Today in our Cybersmart lesson with Mr Goodwin we were learning to use the shape tools in Google Drawings. We created a space scene using different shapes. We created a rocket using a triangle, a rectangle, and a rounded same side corner rectangle, and some explosion shapes. Once we coloured it, it looked like a rocket.

We also used the gradient tool to create interesting looking planets. Check them out.

Organ

I learnt about an topic called the organ and made an quiz about it.

First My team and I made an plan, We had to write down the detailed information for example “Who uses the organ” or “why was the organ made” and the collate information for example “The organ was made in the 3rd century BC but why?”. Me and my team also had to write down who makes what therefore one of my team members cant do nothing.

This week I learned about what is summrise and what is keywords.

First I read a book called Goldilocks. I had to talk about why goldilocks go inside the house? For example : Goldilocks went inside the house because when she knocked on the door no one answered so she went inside the house and ate the tiny bowl wiht porriage.

Rail Transport

This week I learned about rail transportation.

First I needed to find 3 people to make a group of 4. The people in my group were Ane, Siniva, Jaylee, And Lisea. We needed to go to a table and wait for Miss White to give us a paper to write down what we think a stakeholder is. A stakeholder is when someone gets money for technology. Then we needed technology to get more money.
